Trade Show Displays for Canada

If you are buying a trade show display from the US for a Canadian show, three questions decide it: what it costs to get there, how long it takes, and who handles the border. Here is how it works with us.

Shipping and duties

Prices on this site include shipping to mainland USA. Canadian delivery is quoted separately, because the freight, the duties and the brokerage vary by province and by the size of the shipment — a banner stand and a 20x20 island are not the same problem.

Tell us the destination city and the kit you are looking at and we will come back with a landed figure rather than an estimate that moves later. Production runs to the same 48-hour lead time whichever side of the border it is going to.

What Canadian halls ask for

Two requirements come up more often in Canada than in the US, and both are worth checking in your exhibitor manual before you order.

Flame retardancy. Most Canadian convention centres require a certificate for fabric graphics, and some will ask to see it on site. All our graphics are dye-sublimated onto flame-retardant fabric — 240g tension fabric for standard panels, 200g backlit fabric for lit ones.

Electrical. Canada uses the same 120V supply and the same NEMA plug as the United States, so a kit built for a US show plugs in unchanged. Lit stands are specified by plug type at the order stage, so tell us the destination and it ships correct rather than needing an adapter in the hall.

Sizing for Canadian shows

Booth footprints are the same as in the US — 10x10, 10x20 and 20x20 are the standard inline and island sizes at Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary venues, and the same kits fit them. Height limits and rigging rules differ per show rather than per country, so the exhibitor manual is still the first document to read.

Metric floor plans turn up more often. Our product pages publish every measurement in both imperial and metric, so a plan drawn in metres can be checked against the part list without converting anything yourself.

What we build

The whole range ships north: complete trade show booth kits, tension fabric backwalls and step and repeat backdrops, foldable pop up displays, SEG lightboxes, backlit displays, counters and podiums, arch backdrops, hanging banners and towers and banner stands.

All of it is extruded aluminium with silicone edge fabric graphics, assembled by hand without tools, packed into wheeled cases rather than crates. Cases matter more on a cross-border shipment than a domestic one, because crated timber attracts both higher freight and more paperwork.

Artwork and proofing

Same process wherever the stand is going. Send the artwork and the floor plan, a person checks it, and a 3D mock-up comes back within 24 hours so you can see the finished stand before anything is printed. Changes at that stage cost nothing.

Warranty and returns

Hardware carries a two-year warranty. Every stand is made to order against your artwork and your measurements, so there are no returns — which is exactly why the mock-up stage exists and why we would rather spend a day getting the proof right than ship something you did not want.
